The TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 will kick off in Suzhou next Sunday. Itsplush mascotshave already gone on sale, and are priced at 158 yuan/pair. The plush toys are available both online and offline through May 21, though they will be sold on a limited basis before the competition kicks off.

The two mascots are based on cute water birds. Their names "Gugu" and "Susu" are derived from "Gusu," the ancient name of Suzhou, and reflect the pleasant chirps of birds. The green and blue colors represent the green hills and blue waters in the city. There are feathers on their heads shaped like shuttlecocks and crowns, which symbolize the professionalism and high status of Sudirman Cup.
